Illustrator: Drawing or painting illustrations for use in various media to eplain or adorn printed or spoken work; studying layout, sketching proposed illustrations and/or related materials to become familiar with assignment. Determining style, technique and medium best suited to produced desires effects and conform with reproduction requirements, or receiving specific instructions regarding these variables. Formulating concept and rendering illustration and detail from models, sketches, memory and imagination. Discussing illustration at various stages of completion and making changes as necessary.
Art Direction: Reviewing illustrative material and conferring with client or individual rsponsible for presentation regarding budget, background information, objectives, presentation approaches, styles, techniques, and related production factors. Formulating basic layout design concept and conducting research to select and secure suitable illustrative material. Assigning and directing staff members to develop design concepts into art layouts and preparing layouts for printing. Reviewing, approving and presenting final layouts to client or department head for approval. Projects also included Theater Set Construction.
Creative Direction:Developing basic presentation approaches and directing layout design and copy writing for promotional materials such as books, magazines, newspapers, posters, etc. Review materials and information presented by client and discussed various production factors to determine most desirable production concept. Conferred with heads of art, copy writing and production to discuss requirements and scheduling and coordinate creative activities. Reviewed and approved art and copy materials developed by any other staff members and presented the final layout to board and/or client.

Studying illustrations and photographs to plan presentation of material, product or service. Determining size of type and arranging layout based upon available space, knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts. Preparing rough sketches of material for client or supervisor. Marked up, pasted up and assembled final layouts to go to printer. Sometimes photography involved in final layouts.
